Barefoot Trader was a beloved gift shop that once stood proudly on Route 28 in West Yarmouth. Built in 1957, its striking A-Frame structure was described as a "Polynesian Paradise," offering an eclectic mix of gifts, sportswear, and even exotic foods "collected from the wide, wide world."
Though Barefoot Trader closed its doors in the late 1980s, the building still stands today as CapeAbilities. And you can still walk in the original footprints on the walkway—a little piece of Cape Cod history.
